Wesleyan University is offering scholarships for international students who are starting their studies at Wesleyan in the year 2019.
One of the highly selective universities in the United States, Wesleyan University is considered having high competitive admissions with around 12000 applicants applying each year. Those applicants are expected to have a strong secondary school preparation in English, social science, science, mathematics, and a foreign language. Candidates studying at foreign schools who have taken national examinations for university admission (GCSEs, ‘A’ levels, Abitur, International Baccalaureate, etc.) are expected to have achieved superior results. A high degree of proficiency in English, as described below, is also required.
The university intends to provide full tuition scholarships for the 4-year course at Wesleyan University for 11 exceptionally able Asian students from the countries listed below.

- Japan
- Malaysia
- Philippines
- Singapore
- South Korea
- Taiwan
- Thailand
- Vietnam
To qualify, students must be citizens or permanent residents of one of these countries (and not dual U.S. citizens or permanent residents). Transfer applicants are not eligible for the Freeman Asian Scholarship.
The deadline for the regular decision is on January 1, 2019.
