Elizabeth Warren who is running for the Presidential election from the Democrats in 2020 has tapped in Roger Lau as her campaign manager in the presidential race.
While it was speculated that Dan Geldon would be the campaign manager he is overseeing the campaign being the Chief of Staff of Elizabeth Warren’s campaign.
Appointing Roger Lau as the campaign manager Warren said that,” Roger and I have been together since my first days as a candidate for office, and it’s always been a fight from the heart. It’s what binds us together”. She also added, “Roger believes in building a grassroots operation, and that’s exactly what we’ll do.”
Who is Roger Lau?
Roger Lau is the first Asian-American to lead a major presidential campaign. He is the campaign manager for Elizabeth Warren in 2020.
Roger Lau was born in New York to immigrant parents who fled China in the 1970s. His family settled in Queens, and Lau attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst
. In 1998, he landed an internship with then-Sen. John Kerry at his Springfield office and ultimately worked for Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign.
He also served as an aide on the 2008 campaign of Hillary Clinton and the 2004 campaign of John Kerry. Lau has worked for numerous other Massachusetts Democrats, including former Reps. Niki Tsongas and Richard Neal.
